The Newsroom: The Complete First Season will be released to own and watch instantly through blinkbox from 15 October 2012.
blinkbox will be the first place in the UK for HBO fans to buy and own all ten episodes of the outstanding drama 30 days after initial broadcast on Sky Atlantic and months ahead of the DVD and Blu-ray release.

The Newsroom asks whether it’s possible to produce a good TV news show and make it popular at the same time. That’s the question facing volatile cable-news anchor Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) and the ideological staff that have just been foisted upon him in Season 1 of this HBO drama series from Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network). Overcoming a tumultuous first day together, the acerbic ACN Network anchor, new executive producer MacKenzie (Emily Mortimer), their newsroom staff (John Gallagher Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Olivia Munn, Dev Patel), and news-division boss Charlie (Sam Waterston) set out on a patriotic if quixotic mission to ‘do the news well’ in the face of corporate and commercial obstacles, and their own personal entanglements.
Already known as the place to watch the latest releases without subscription, blinkbox offers a broad range of premium HBO series including all four seasons of smash hit supernatural drama True BloodSM and the acclaimed blockbuster mini-series Band of BrothersSM and The PacificSM.
