blinkbox plans to turn streams into screams with the exclusive sponsorship of award-winning immersive horror fest Freak Week this Halloween.
blinkbox, the home of latest release movies and TV without subscription, has teamed up with Hop Farm to create a live action 4D horror event – and anchor their association with movie experiences.
Designed to merge live theatre with terrifying thrills inspired by blinkbox’s collection of latest release horror movies, the week-long event will include a specially-created blinkbox living room which will be far from relaxing.
Due to the extreme nature of the experience, those prone to claustrophobia, with heart problems or a fear of clowns (Coulrophobia) are advised NOT to buy tickets. Visitors who can’t handle the pressure will be led out by staff after using the escape word ‘blinkbox’.
blinkbox spooksman Ben Ayers said: “At blinkbox, we believe that watching a movie is as much about how you feel as what you see, so this is a great partnership. Halloween is the perfect time to blend immersive drama with movie watching so we’re thrilled to be involved. Being a responsible company we will have staff on standby to ensure that traumatised participants can escape if they panic.”
The blinkbox Freak Week experience will be open to the public from October 25th till the October 30th.
